We’re thrilled to be partnering with Project Koru to once again, support their Kiteboard for Cancer (KB4C) fundraising event (July 6 & 7th at the Hood River Event Site).
KB4C is more than just a kite festival!
The main event: a 6-hour endurance race in the mighty Columbia River that challenges participants both physically and mentally. The Derby is designed to embody the battle that someone facing cancer endures every day. The Derby is open to kiteboarders, kitefoilers, and wingfoilers. New for 2024 is a 1 mile open water swim!
Come on down and cheer on the riders, have a cold beer at the Full Sail Beer Garden, grab a bite from local food cart vendors and listen to live music while taking in the amazing views of The Gorge. Whether you’re a kiter, winger, dancer, singer, donor, fundraiser, spectator, volunteer, stranger, or friend, there is a place for you at KB4C!
All funds raised benefit Project Koru, an organization that helps young adult cancer survivors find healing and renewal beyond their diagnosis.
Thank you to all the supporters, volunteers and participants that help make this event happen!
Check the KB4C official website for more information on how to participate, donate, volunteer and join in on the action.
