COMMUNI-TUESDAY IN MARCH: CELEBRATING HOOD RIVER’S CONNECTION TO TSURUTA, JAPAN
This March, we are proud to dedicate our Communi-Tuesday program to Hood River – Tsuruta Sister City. For nearly 50 years, this non-profit has bridged the gap between the Hood River Valley and our sister city in Japan, fostering international goodwill through student exchanges, community delegations, and cultural education.
HOW TO SUPPORT IN MARCH
Supporting this local legacy is as easy as grabbing a pint. Every Tuesday in March, a portion of all food and beer proceeds will be donated to Hood River – Tsuruta Sister City. Whether you’re joining us for lunch or a post-work round, your visit helps fund the scholarships and programs that keep this unique cultural connection thriving for the next generation.
SAVE THE DATE: TASTE OF TSURUTA
Beyond our Tuesday givebacks, we encourage you to attend the organization’s premier annual fundraiser: Taste of Tsuruta on March 14th. This special dinner is a celebration of Japanese cuisine and hospitality, serving as the primary engine that powers their exchange programs. It is a local favorite that often sells out, so we recommend securing your tickets early!
GET INVOLVED
Hood River – Tsuruta Sister City is always looking for community members to host students, volunteer at events, or simply learn more about our friends in Aomori. To purchase tickets for the dinner or to find out how you can get involved, please visit hoodriversistercity.org.
Thank you for helping us support this incredible organization. We look forward to seeing you at the taproom every Tuesday this month!
