Draft Magazine Review: Full Sail Amber
By Draft Magazine, February 16, 2010
92 Points: Exceptional recommendation.
Full Sail’s Amber pours deep gold with a pillowy, khaki head. The beer emits grainy, nutty aromas with a touch of dry caramel. Its flavor is simple up front, with lightly toasted grains and mild hop spice, but the longer the beer washes through the mouth, the more this amber expresses its complexity. The same nuttiness found in the aroma comes in late, quiet, and restrained, along with hops that grow increasingly citrusy in the swallow. This medium-bodied beer has palate-cleansing carbonation, an insignificant alcohol presence and a dry finish
