From Full Sail Brewing to pear orchards to tech enterprises, Hood River has it all (photo essay)
Hood River’s diverse economy reflects its equally diverse politics. In 2010, for example, voters in Hood River County favored Democrat John Kitzhaber for governor and Republican Chuck Thomsen to represent them in the state Senate. This year, Kitzhaber donated to two Gorge Republicans –Mark Johnson and John Huffman — who are running for re-election to the state House.
