Full Sail Brewing Earns Gold Level Recognition for Sustainability from Travel Oregon
Hood River, Oregon – Full Sail Brewing is among a select group to achieve Gold level recognition in Travel Oregon’s Sustainable Business Challenge! Through Travel Oregon’s Sustainable Business Challenge Full Sail Brewing has once again been recognized for their commitment to the environment.
“When we look out from our brewery we can see both the Columbia River and the snow-capped peaks beyond, highlighted up against the clear blue skies. We feel so lucky to work in this truly amazing place. It would be impossible to live and work in the Columbia River Gorge and not be inspired by the sheer beauty of the place. Our location truly drives our sustainable practices, so pure water, local ingredients and responsible processes are poured into each and every pint,” says Full Sail’s Executive Brewmaster, Jamie Emmerson.
Based on the 37 Global Sustainable Tourism Criteria, Oregon’s Sustainable Business Challenge is a voluntary reporting program that quantifies and qualifies the commitment tourism and hospitality organizations are making toward running sustainable and environmentally responsible operations. All tourism-related organizations that offer a service to visitors are eligible to participate. They can achieve Silver, Gold, status. For each level completed, participants receive special recognition and marketing exposure through Travel Oregon’s marketing network.
